NEW NOVELLAS!

Minerva Irvington has always lived quietly on the margins of New York City life, shaping bagels at dawn and fading into the crowd by dusk. But when the shop closes without warning, she finds herself unexpectedly thrust into a world beyond her ken with a new job at Bergdorf Goodman.
Among mirrored escalators and perfume-scented lounges, Minerva learns to glide in stockings and speak in the polished tones of Fifth Avenue.
Yet behind every elegant fitting room lies rivalry, the sting of loneliness, and a secret world waiting just above it all. On the building’s mysterious 11th floor, she discovers a series of strange, shifting rooms that seem to echo her hopes and fears, blurring the line between memory, imagination, and reality.
Then there’s Manny—her old friend from the bagel shop, now a hotel doorman with a charming grin and a heart that never forgot her. In his eyes, Minerva finds warmth she never knew she craved—and the promise of a love that could remake everything. But can a girl who’s always played it safe dare to embrace both the shimmering illusions of Bergdorf’s and the messy, magical truth of her own heart?
The 11th Floor of Bergdorf’s is a sweeping, romantic journey through 1980s New York, where reinvention shimmers in every shop window, enchanted doors wait to be opened, and love might be the most transformative magic of all.

Corinne never expected to inherit a garden—or a ghost.
When Nicola, her sharp-tongued, plant-obsessed best friend, insists that Corinne care for her prize-winning vegetable patch after her death, Corinne agrees… sort of. But gardening has never been her thing. And grief? She's winging it.
As Corinne wrestles with trellises, tomatoes, and unexpected emotions, strange things start happening in the garden. Could Nicola really haunt her from beyond—or is Corinne just losing it? Enter Sammy: the once-awkward paperboy turned unexpectedly handsome pie-bearing neighbor, who might just have what it takes to melt Corinne's cynical heart (and help her stake a tomato or two).
Equal parts funny, heartfelt, and a little bit ghostly. In the Vegetable Garden, is a story of love, loss, lasagna, and Jell-O.

COMING OCTOBER 2025

While walking on the Lower East Side on a crisp fall morning,
Steffi Benedetto turns onto Mott Street.
A few storefronts down, she spots La Patisserie Moderne. Steffi peers through the window, where she observes a woman half-hidden by the
pastry cabinet. When the woman stands up, Steffi is fascinated by her deep red lipstick. Compelled to go inside, she pushes the door inwards, and the brass bells clink against the metal frame.
The scent of sweet custard and buttery croissants wraps around her.
A budding Francophile, Steffi questions her childhood dreams as she stares at a glass cake cloche protecting six pastel-iced petit fours.

Elizabeth McCrae
"I love a mix of reality and magic.
The Chapel Ghost is filled with enchanting characters intertwined with ordinary people in conventional places. But each story is so true to life, you don't doubt it for a moment."
Maggie Saunders
"Whether you have a green thumb or not, Nicola and Corinne will make you wish you did. Kate takes on subject matter that in another venue might be somber or intense. In The Garden brings a supernatural bent through humorous moments and the bond of a lifelong friendship. It is a real romance; this is a novella not to be missed!"
Brittany Scott
"I've read them all! Each story has a different tone, a new twist, and interactions that blend harmoniously. Kate Becker's writing is versatile and smooth. I get immersed in her settings and begin to think I know the characters."
